Rigid Inclusions
Rigid inclusions are engineered vertical elements, typically made of concrete, grout, or stone columns, installed into weak or compressible soils to improve ground stiffness, increase bearing capacity, and reduce settlement. Unlike deep foundations, rigid inclusions do not carry the full structural load individually but work in combination with the surrounding soil to form a composite foundation system.
